The September/October Sierra Madre City Hall Art Show features work from local artist Gwen Gordon. The art show is on display at City Hall from September 2, 2013 through October, 24, 2013. The art can be viewed between the hours of 11:00am-5:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Artist Bio: Gwen Gordon’s vigorous use of color joined with dynamic designs giver her paintings a unique quality and energy. Gwen was educated at the Art Center College of Design and Otis Art Institute. “To stand before a breathtaking landscape, a simple flower or a compelling face and be filled with a desire to capture all that quivering life seems absolutely necessary” says Gwen.

If you are interested in being considered for an upcoming art show, please submit examples of your work electronically to amatsumoto@cityofsierramadre.com. Please be sure to keep electronic submissions to less than 4MB total per email. Submissions are received by the Sierra Madre Art Review Board which decides which submissions are featured as part of the rotating art shows.

For information please contact Community Services Manager Adam Matsumoto at amatsumoto@cityofsierramadre.com.
