HealthCare Partners medical group sites joined together in helping change the lives of people across the world by building 60 prosthetic hands last week. More than $15,000 in funds were raised through recycling and monetary donations. Each site received a bag with 30 pieces of unmarked plastic parts, an instruction manual, markers and a bag to decorate.
Odyssey Teams Helping Hands Program works with 25 different countries across the world to distribute these hands along with the decorated bags and photos of the participants to those who were born without a hand, whose hand was lost in an accident or through land mines.
