Gunman keeps police at bay for 4 hours

A man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly brandished a gun and threatened to kill his former roommate with whom he had a dispute, Pasadena Police said.
Matthew Periego, 32, was arrested Tuesday evening after he allegedly threatened a former roommate with a gun.
Police sent out an alert to the community to stay away from Eloise Street north of Colorado Boulevard due to police activity.
Police used K-9 units and a helicopter and finally local residents tipped off police to the suspect’s whereabouts.
