Maranatha led Valley Christian 10-6 by the start of the second half until Dexter Myers (#21) intercepted a pass, one of his three, across the middle of the field and returned it the distance for a touchdown. Maranatha’s momentum continued to build throughout the game on both sides of the ball. The offense was led by Caleb Devine as he exploded for 151 yards and two touchdowns. One of those touchdowns was an 80 yard run, revealing Devine’s ability to use his brute force to break tackles, followed by his untouchable speed. Eli Snyder (QB #11) was 11-20 with 113 yards, 1 INT and 1 TD to Xavius Boone, who led the team in receiving with 3 catches for 55 yards. The Maranatha Minutemen are now 7-0, showing no signs of slowing down. Their next opponent is Village Christian at Occidental College this Friday. Let’s see if the Minutemen can continue their hot streak and extended their undefeated season to 8-0.
