El Monte Airport now known as San Gabriel Valley Airport

San Gabriel Valley Airport, formerly known as the El Monte Airport, will be hosting an air faire November 16.
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, with dignitaries such as Gloria Molina along with city officials from the 30 cities of the San Gabriel Valley, will be held at noon. Among other planes at the airport Gabe Lopez, whom we unofficially call the “Mayor of San Gabriel Valley Airport,” will have his 1940 Stearman biplane from WWII on display. It’ll be great fun for all the family members of all ages.
