Thursday, December 4, is the official beginning of the Holiday Season in Monrovia with the tree lighting ceremony in Library Park at 6 p.m. It is immediately followed by the annual parade up Myrtle Avenue.
The City Christmas Tree is now located at the southeast corner of the park. The community is invited to join local officials as they light the tree.
The parade will begin at Myrtle and Chestnut and proceed up Myrtle to Library Park. The culmination of the parade is the arrival of Santa Claus in the City Sleigh. Santa will be on hand in Library Park after the parade to greet his young friends with special wishes to share with him.
