Monrovia Reads will hold its annual chili-cook off fundraiser on Sunday, July 12. Starting at 4 p.m., participants will be treated to tastes of chili prepared by various local cooks including the Fire Chief, Chief of Police, and this writer. In addition there will be a simple barbeque, lots of salads, beer, wine, margaritas and more. As a finale there will even be a “build your own ice cream sundae” bar.
Tickets are $100 per person and include all food and beverages and the cost is tax deductible. Please call Diane Delmatoff at (626) 303-6600 to make a reservation.
