Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are assisting the Monrovia Police Department investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult and a female adult at 100 block of North Grand Avenue, Monrovia.
When the officers arrived at the location they found 37-year-old Wendy Wright inside the house, suffering from numerous gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Officers also found 35-year-old Cory Wricker in the rear of the location suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot.
The couple had been married for a year and had no children.
Homicide detectives have determined the incident appears to be a murder-suicide and the motive is unknown.
About eight people, apparently friends or relatives of the victims, were gathered near the house consoling one another.
