The wildly popular Bulgarini Gelato will be making its debut at Taste of Arcadia, as will a new giant “Big Shot” selfie camera on the Red Carpet Experience.

This year’s traditional outdoor event produced by the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce is being held from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Monday evening at the beautiful Los Angeles County Arboretum at 301 N. Baldwin Avenue in Arcadia, made possible by returning Gold sponsors Westfield Santa Anita, Methodist Hospital, and BMW of Monrovia.

The popular Bulgarini Gelato cart is coming fresh off an appearance by popular demand earlier this month at The Taste in Los Angeles sponsored by The Los Angeles Times.

Owner Leo Bulgarini’s popular selections include yogurt gelato with sea salt and drizzled with olive oil, hazelnut gelato with gavi, goat’s milk gelato with toasted cocoa nibs and pinot noir, nectarine sorbet with trebbiano malvasio, kona coffee gelato and stout beer, gelato he makes with the ultra-pricey Bronte pistachios he picks himself from trees in Sicily, and many more.

The Rome-born Bulagarini who has set up a base of operations in Altadena says that once you taste his gelato, you will never eat ice cream again. Although he follows the teachings of traditional Italian gelato-making from his uncle, he says his recipes and process are so unique that you won’t even find his gelato in Rome.

The Big Shot camera sponsored by Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation allows attendees to pose several feet away from the camera on the Red Carpet Experience (with optional exotically-costumed Brazilian dancers) and take their own photos that show up on a video screen. After choosing their favorites on a touch-screen tablet, they may make printed copies on the spot and also e-mail copies to themselves.

Bulgarini and The Big Shot are just two of many firsts at Taste this year in addition to valet parking for only $7, the colorful Yoobi bus, a giant 33-foot inflatable screen, three live performers simultaneously, new models of Tesla and Cadillac cars, and much more.

Advance tickets $65 ($55 for Arcadia Chamber of Commerce members; $80 at gate; or VIP reserved table of 10 for $750 – Chamber members $599) under “Shop” at www.ArcadiaCaChamber.org, by calling 626-447-2159, or in person at the Chamber office at 388 W. Huntington Drive, Arcadia, 91007.

About 1,500 people are expected to attend what City officials refer to as the “signature event of Arcadia,” From 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. on a Monday evening attendees enjoy tastes of everything from 40 of the best local restaurants for no additional charge, 40 community organization and Business Showcase booths, and plenty of entertainment, including a Monday Night Football lounge.
