On arrival, officers determined to people on a motorcycle were in critical condition suffering from major trauma. Officers notified the paramedics who transported the victims to a local hospital. Because of the nature of the collision and the related injuries, the police departments’ Traffic Investigation Team responded. Based on preliminary information, the Traffic Team determined that the driver of the vehicle (27 year-old male) was making a west-bound turn from Lake Avenue on to Union Street when a motorcycle driving south on Lake Ave struck the car. The motorcycle was being driven by a 24-year-old male with a 26-year-old female passenger. Sadly, the motorcycle operator and his passenger sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
