Scores of police officer and a K-9 unit were dispatched to Las Lunas Street and Allen and the 1600 block of Paloma where teenagers had allegedly been seen taking items from a house in East Pasadena.

Witnesses on Las Lunas Street heard a police helicopter circling near Allen and numerous officers searching the area.

It was later determined that a 911 caller said they witnessed a burglary and identified the car in which they were driving on Paloma.

Officers arrived to see three teenage boys driving away from the home in a older model Acura, the and the driver refused to pull over, starting a 90-second chase which with the car colliding in a garden of a home near Allen Avenue.

The men ran from the car, two were immediately arrested and one was later caught hiding behind an out building near Crawford Alley.

Police found him hiding behind the shed, but he refused officers’ repeated commands to give himself up. A police dog made him think twice about his options. The incident occurred at approximately 1 p.m.
The car was reportedly stolen in Los Angeles. No further details at this time
