City officials and representatives of ArtCenter College of Design gathered Tuesday to introduce the new name and new look for the City’s public bus system.
The ceremony which was held outside city hall showed off the new Pasadena Transit (Formerly the Pasadena ARTS bus). It’s a new name and a new logo with a brand but the same local, inexpensive public transportation service. Pasadena Transit is now officially here with the formal introduction of its new logo, signs and branding materials Tuesday.
As Mayor Tornek so eloquently put it in his opening remarks, “even getting the new name approved wasn’t easy…” However, he pointed out that the old name confused some residents and visitors falsely believing it only served the local museums such as Norton Simon.
