View Winners → Outreach Meetings Set to Explain Proposed Changes to Code Regarding Development

Two more meetings have been set to discuss proposed changes to the municipal code in regard to development in response to the overwhelming community support for historic preservation and neighborhood compatibility. The first of these meetings was held earlier this week when the plans were laid out for realtors, brokers, and developers.
The next is set for tonight, Thursday, Jan. 28th at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at the Monrovia Public Library when city staff will meet with members of the Monrovia Historic Preservation Group (MOHPG). A final meeting is set for Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 for the General Community and Map, again at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at the Monrovia Public Library.
The city staff members will then present the feedback to the City Council at a study session on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. prior to the regularly scheduled Council meeting. The input will also be discussed at the Planning Commission Study Session on Feb. 10, again at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.
The changes will be addressed formally the City Council at its first meeting in March.
