Last week, Monrovia was well-represented at the 2016 Neighborhoods USA (NUSA) annual conference, where elements of the city’s overall Monrovia Area Partnership (MAP) program were considered for nationwide awards, including our Care for your Neighbor program, ourMAP Youth Leadership Academy, and our MAP Neighborhood Newsletter.
Even when facing stiff competition from programs that stretched across the nation, the MAP program shined, winning the following awards:
– 1st Place MAP Neighborhood Newsletter (newsletter competition).
– 2nd Place Care for your Neighbor Program (physical revitalization/beautification).
– 2nd Place MAP Youth Leadership Academy (social revitalization/neighborliness).
