The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) campus is in lockdown after a shooting, reported Wednesday morning, June 1.
NBC News reported two dead referring to law enforcement sources and witnesses saw two stretchers enter the building.
Latest reports talk about two dead. This is however unconfirmed. One TV station reported it as a murder-suicide.
LAPD Rapid Extraction Team was deployed at UCLA. Tweets mention numerous victims.
The official statement by the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed one victim.

Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer released the following statement:
“Every student, every family and every neighborhood should be shielded from gun violence. But this morning’s tragedy at UCLA is another grim reminder that in America today gun violence respects no boundaries. We cannot allow shootings to become a way of life in our nation. On the eve of National Gun Violence Awareness Day, all Americans should join in proclaiming that enough is enough – and take the practical steps necessary to make us all safer.”
Feuer is co-founder and co-chair of Prosecutors Against Gun Violence.
The campus remained under lockdown at time of press.
