Bank has been working in animal welfare for nearly 30 years, performing a variety of leadership roles, each with its own unique challenges. She has worked at large animal control organizations in New York, California, Arizona and, most recently, Oklahoma, where she served as superintendent of Oklahoma City Animal Welfare.

Bank was selected by the board of directors after a nationwide, months-long search to identify a successor for retiring CEO Steve McNall.

“We are honored to have someone with the pedigree and leadership acumen of Bank to lead us into the future,” said Carol Kirby, Pasadena Humane Society’s chairman of the board of directors. “Her unwavering commitment to putting animals first, even in the midst of challenging circumstances, was what resonated most with us.”

Bank, who has performed in a variety of leadership roles in animal welfare, each with its own unique challenges throughout her career, has worked closely with underserved communities, showing a mission-focused approach to leadership and a record of courageous decision-making.

“I’m very excited to join the team at PHS, a team dedicated to our partners and the community,” said Bank. “I look forward to building relationships and to strengthening the bond between pets and people by making our responsible pet ownership programs more accessible.”
