The Taylor Performing Arts Center and Monrovia Unified School District are pleased to announce auditions for ‘The King and I.’
Audition Dates:
Monday, May 1
Children (ages 7-14), 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.)
Principals (Sign-in, 6:30 p.m.; Auditions, 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)
Tuesday, May 2,
Singers who dance and dancers who sing (Sign-in, 6:30 p.m.; Auditions, 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)
Thursday, May 4,
Callbacks by invitation only, 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.)

The Taylor Performing Arts Center (on the campus of Monrovia High School)
845 W. Colorado Boulevard, Monrovia, CA 91016
Audition Information:
Music Audition: Prepare 16-32 bars of a song from a musical (stage or film) that shows your range. Be sure to bring sheet music with you in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided.
Dance Audition: Wear movement friendly clothing. A dance combination will be taught at the audition. You DO NOT need to prepare a dance routine of your own.
Adult performers, please bring a resume and headshot with you.
Child performers, please bring a snapshot with the name written on the back Small stipends will be available for principal roles.
Rehearsals begin: June 5
Performance dates: July 13, 14, 15, and 16
