The inaugural Monrovia Wine Walk, to be held on August 26, will benefit five local charities. In order to make more people familiar with the shopping opportunities in Old Town Monrovia, the Wine Walk has been designed to bring new faces into the area. The charities will benefit in that they will each receive 30 tickets to sell and will be able to keep the proceeds of those sales.
The cost of a ticket is $40 and will be available from the members of the charities. The charities involved include: Monrovia Reads, the community’s literacy foundation, Centre Stage, the local children’s theater company, Monrovia Youth Baseball League, Monrovia Duarte Black Alumni Association, and the Monrovia Latino Heritage Society. Tickets, which go on sale July 26, will be available online as well.
