On June 14 at approximately 11:41 a.m., Temple Station Sheriff’s deputies responded to a “shots fired, gunshots heard” call in the 2500 block of Broderick Ave., in unincorporated Monrovia.

Upon their arrival, deputies located a female Hispanic adult and a male African-American adult suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The male victim remains in fair condition and the female victim is in surgery.

Preliminary information reveals that a white colored vehicle was seen leaving the scene. The incident appears to be gang related. The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Temple Station, Detective Milano, at (626) 285-7171. If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), use your smartphone by downloading the “P3 Tips” Mobile APP on Google play or the Apple App Store or by using the website lacrimestoppers.org.
