The Monrovia Unified School District is holding a meeting for the parents of children planning to enroll in transitional kindergarten or kindergarten for the next school year. The informative program will include presentations from each of the five elementary schools outlining their special programs. The principals of each school will be on hand not only to make these presentations, but also to answer questions.
Two of the elementary schools have dual immersion programs in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Another school focuses on coding and one on the arts. Details of the music and art programs will also be outlined as well as the outdoor education programs.
The meeting will be held next Monday evening starting at 6 p.m. and lasting to approximately 7:30 p.m. It will be held in the Board Room at the District Office (325 E. Huntington Drive) in Monrovia. A confidential source has mentioned that samples of school food fare will also be served.
While registration packets are already available at the individual schools, Jill Marie Plaza of Monrovia Unified School District, suggests that parents get those packets at the preview night as the packets vary from school to school based on the focus of that particular school.
