The following notice is from the Monrovia Unified School District in regards to door-to-door scams that have occurred in the community. The notice reads:
“Dear Monrovia Unified Families,
We have been alerted to a door-to-door sales scam in our community by individuals claiming to be Monrovia High School students and using the names of school staff in order to convince families to purchase magazine subscriptions.
“Please be aware that these individuals are not students of our district and Monrovia Unified policy does not sanction door-to-door selling by its students. If you are approached by these salespersons, we encourage you to exercise caution and contact the Monrovia Police Department to report any suspicious activity.”
