The Pasadena Police Department will be conducting a Traffic Enforcement program on Friday, March 29, 2019, throughout the City of Pasadena.
Officers will be deployed at various locations throughout the city to look for violations including, but not limited to, primary collision factors involving speed, red signals, and right of way violations. When violations are observed, motorists will be cited and/or educated on the safety concerns associated with the violation. The need for driver education and enforcement is ongoing due to traffic volumes within the City of Pasadena.
“Community input and engagement regarding traffic safety is welcome and encouraged, so please feel free to get in touch with me regarding problem locations,” said Traffic Section Lieutenant Mark Goodman. “We continue to use suggestions from our community along with analytics to form our deployment strategies,” said Goodman. “Resources are limited; however we are always looking for ways to enhance service to our community.”
The Pasadena Police Department’s ultimate goal is to enforce and educate the driving public while at the same time reducing serious injuries and fatal collisions. Lieutenant Goodman can be reached via e-mail at mgoodman@cityofpasadena.net.
