Lowe’s, the Fortune 500 home improvement retailer, recently informed the City of Monrovia that they want to open a new appliance-centric store concept at 725 W. Huntington Drive (what used to be Orchard Supply Hardware) that will also provide opportunities to purchase home improvement related items that are typically found in Lowe’s store, according to the City Manager’s Update.
Lowe’s aims to open its new store in September. In light of tenant improvements and store upgrades processes, the city anticipates that Lowe’s will appear before the Development Review Committee (DRC) on July 31 to present their overall store signage plans for consideration.
