Monrovia’s Foothill Unity Gets a Helping Hand from MPD

During the annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway Monday at theArboretum, Monrovia’s finest lent a hand loading up the holiday goodies for 1,000needy area families. On Tuesday the local non-profit gave 850 meals with allthe trimmings to smaller area families.

There are several ways to still help Foothill Unity this year.Dec. 3 is Giving Tuesday, an international day of charitable giving, andFoothill Unity is accepting donations that can be made online, by check orphone. If you will be doing any online shopping through Amazon, you can turn onAmazonSmile and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligibleAmazonSmile purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. Thensimply select Foothill Unity as the charity of your choice. You might alsoconsider volunteering at one of their upcoming events.
