

City crews planted new trees along Madison Avenue, adjacent toMonrovia High School. Crews planted approximately 40 Brisbane box trees toreplace trees that were removed as a part of the sidewalk improvement projectundertaken this past summer. Plans for planting trees along the front of theHigh School are still in development as part landscape improvements at the highschool.
These plantings are a part of the city’s commitment to replant alltrees that were removed on a two for one basis. While working toward this goal,additional trees will be planted elsewhere throughout the city.
This work took place on Monday and Tuesday with crews working fromabout 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
