The League of Women Voters –Pasadena Area Natural Resources Committee is hosting the 9th Annual ClimateChange Forum titled “Decarbonize Your Life and Clean Our Environment: APositive Way Forward” on March 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The first speaker is BenStapleton, the executive director of the U.S. Green Building Council-LosAngeles whose presentation, “Decarbonize Your Building, Decarbonize Your Life,”will discuss how to reduce carbon footprint, individually and collectively as acommunity.

Also speaking at the event isEdward Humes, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author of “Garbology: OurDirty Love Affair with Trash” who will focus on recycling and waste. Hispresentation is titled “Trashing the Climate: Finding the (Right) Way Back fromWaste.” Humes has written 15 books, four of them being environmentally-themed.

The event is open to the public, free lunch will be provided. The discussion will take place at First United Methodist Church, 500 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. The entrance and free parking are off Green Street between Los Robles and Oakland Ave. For more information visit my.lwv.org.
