The City of Pasadena Public Health Department (PPHD) confirmed three additional cases of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Pasadena residents on Monday. Then on Wednesday the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health announced a seventh case in the city.

On Monday PPHD said the three additional cases were likelydue to community transmission. At that time, only one case had beenhospitalized. Due to patient confidentiality, no other information on confirmedcases will be provided.

PPHD is following up directly with those who have had closecontact with this individual and may be at risk for COVID-19 infection. Closecontacts are monitored for signs and symptoms of illness and arequarantined.
