One man dead and another injured during an altercation in Lancaster.

A man was fatally shot Monday in the Lancaster area.
The shooting was reported about 10:10 a.m. in the 100 Block of East Avenue I, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, but details were sketchy.
The man, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene, the sheriff’s department reported.
