El Monte police Thursday released security images of a man they say slashed tires on three police vehicles last weekend.
The vandalism occurred Saturday in the 4000 Block of Maxson Road, according to the El Monte Police Department. Officers were conducting an investigation in the area that day, and returned to find tires slashed on their patrol vehicles.
Police circulated security images of the man and the vehicle he was driving, described as a red Chevrolet El Camino with chrome rims and a sticker on the rear window reading “TESTAMENT” in green lettering.
“Though this is just a property crime, the criminal actions of this suspect caused a delay in our response to needed critical police services to our community,” according to an EMPD statement.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call police at 626- 580-2100.
