A pursuit of a possible stolen vehicle begun by Fontana police ended in East Los Angeles Monday morning after hitting speeds up to 120 mph, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol became involved in the pursuit about 1:41 a.m. after Fontana police chased the vehicle westbound on the Foothill (210) Freeway, said CHP Officer Dion Conley.
The vehicle turned southbound on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, then westbound on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway before heading southbound on the Long Beach (710) Freeway.
The driver stopped on the 710 at Cesar Chavez Avenue, where the driver bailed out, Conley said.
Multiple people were detained at the scene, he said.
