

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday in Paramount, and the suspect or suspects involved in the crime were being sought.
Deputies went to the 8200 block of Somerset Boulevard at about 12:55 a.m. on a report of a shooting, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
“When the deputies arrived, they found a 19-year-old male in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body,” Deputy Trina Schrader said in a statement. “He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.”
Authorities withheld the name of the fatally wounded man, pending notification of his relatives. No arrests were reported, and no suspect information was available.
