An 86-year-old man with dementia who had been the subject of a Silver Alert was found Tuesday after being reported missing.

Hae Ryong Ri had last been seen at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Florence and Wilcox avenues in Bell, according to Bell Police Department Detective Javier Avila.

The California Highway Patrol reported at 11 p.m. that Ri had been ‘”safely located.” No further details were available.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
