

A man was taken into custody after deputies fired shots but did not hit anyone Thursday evening in Rosemead.
The shooting was reported at about 7:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of San Gabriel Boulevard, near Garvey Avenue, said Deputy Alejandra Parra of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
It was not immediately known what led up to the shooting.
No one was struck by the gunfire, and the man was subsequently taken into custody, Parra said. His name was not immediately released.
An investigation into the shooting was ongoing.
