A Metro B Line train struck and killed a pedestrian Thursday in the East Hollywood area, authorities said.
Paramedics sent to the 300 block of North Vermont Avenue at 8:07 a.m. pronounced the person dead at the scene, which is in a tunnel, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Information on the identity of the fatally injured person was not immediately available.
The B Line was formerly known as the Red Line.
