

Police were investigating a reported drive-by shooting Wednesday that prompted a lockdown at a Los Angeles elementary school.
The shooting was reported at about 2:40 p.m. outside of Compton Avenue Elementary school in the area of Compton Avenue and East 103rd Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
No injuries were reported.
Witnesses told responding officers a suspect vehicle fled the scene driving northbound on Compton Avenue following the shooting, but no description of the vehicle or the driver was available.
No further details were immediately available.
