A Los Angeles police SWAT team was sent to the Rampart Village area Wednesday on a report that three armed men were in a building, but no suspects were found.

Officers went to the 100 block of South Virgil Avenue about 1:15 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

An hours-long standoff ensued, but a SWAT team determined about 10:30 a.m. that no suspects were inside, the LAPD reported.
