Police Wednesday circulated security video they hope will help find the gunman who robbed a convenience store in the Pico-Union area.
The crime occurred about 1 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 1800 block of West Olympic Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“The suspect waited in line, walked up to the counter, took out a handgun, and fired one shot over the counter,” police said in a statement. “The suspect demanded the employees to fill a bag with money. The suspect fired a second shot over the counter and fled the location on foot with the bag of money.”
No injuries were reported.
The man was described as Hispanic, about 24, 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He wore a black mask, a gray/blue Dodgers hooded jacket, black pants, and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call detectives at 213-484-3450, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. Tipsters may also use the website www.lacrimestoppers.org.
